Especially for families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders - Visitors can enjoy interactive, sensory-based learning experiences at Lefferts Historic House, or ride the Carousel with the lights and sounds turned off to accommodate those with noise sensitivities. Attendance limited, please RSVP in advance. 9 am to noon.

Cool off from the summer sun at Lefferts by helping Alliance educators get the dirt out of our 19th century reproduction clothing the non-electric way, using tubs, washboards and bar soap. 1 pm to 4 pm.

The Annual Brooklyn ®T.E.A.L. Walk/Run, NYC’s largest event spreading awareness and raising money specifically for ovarian cancer, takes place every September during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Participants of our Brooklyn ®T.E.A.L. Walk/Run include survivors, caregivers, families, friends and the general public who come together to raise awareness of and promote a cure for Ovarian Cancer. We celebrate those who’ve battled the disease during our ®T.E.A.L. Survivor Ceremony. Throughout the day, there is entertainment along with educational booths and fun activities for the whole family. Thousands of people participate in this amazing event. The 2.5 mile Walk is non competitive, but the 5K Run is timed so that winners can be announced. This event is rain or shine ! 8am–1pm.

New York’s only bicycle flea market returns to Park Slope, Brooklyn. Find a used or new bike for the upcoming season, bike accessories and more! The flea market offers new and used bicycles, bicycle accessories, bicycle collectibles, clothing and other bicycle treasures. Bike prices start around $50 and go up from there. Times up! and Recycle a Bike and other bicycle non-profits will be there to help you test ride bikes before you buy! 10 am to 4 pm.
