A heartless thug robbed a handicapped woman who was waiting outside of a newsstand on Varet Street in her motorized wheelchair on Sept. 8.
The woman told police that she was waiting to buy a paper at the stand between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street at 11:20 am when the robber grabbed her purse, grabbed an unknown amount of money, and then threw the purse back at her. He then sped away on a silver bicycle.
A teenager punched a man on Grand Street on Sept. 7 — then hit him again when he tried to get up.
The victim told police he was near Graham Avenue at 5 am when the teen ran up to him and yelled, “That’s what you get for wilding out,” before punching the man in the face. The victim told police that when he tried to get up, the tough hit him over the head with a cane and then ran away.
A teenaged punk jumped a middle-age man in a backyard on Ten Eyck Street on Sept. 7 — and cops think it may be the same teen from the Grand Street attack.
Police said the victim was in the backyard between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street shortly after the other incident when the teen punched him, giving him a bloody nose. He then took $5 from the victim’s pockets and fled, police said.
A gang of four men robbed a man on White Street on Sept. 8.
The victim told police he was near Johnson Avenue at 6:15pm when the group surrounded him and one of the thugs said, “Give me everything you have and I’ll let you live.”
He gave them his iPhone, driver’s license, wallet, credit card, debit card, headphones, and $8 in cash and the gang fled.
An artist who kept a large sum of cash in his filing cabinet while workers renovated his studio on Moore Street discovered a nasty surprise when $7,000 went missing on Sept. 4.
The man, who apparently didn’t believe in banks, told police that the money went missing from his studio between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street sometime between noon and 10 pm the next day. No one was arrested.
A thief snatched a woman’s cellphone right out of her hand as she was listening to music on Graham Avenue on Sept. 7.
The woman told police she was near Johnson Avenue at 2 am, deep in thought and listening to music on her Samsung Galaxy phone, when a man ran up behind her and snatched the gadget out of her hand.
A regular at a bodega on Bushwick Avenue punched and robbed the clerk on Sept. 7.
The victim told police the man asked him for change at the store between Moore and Varet streets at 11:30 pm. When he complied, the customer punched him in the face, snatched $100 out of his hand, and ran out of the store.
