Cops cuff store employees for alleged heist of $3,344 worth of electronics

Two bandits stole a man’s wallet, cellphone, and chain from the lobby of a W. Sixth Street apartment building on May 19.

The victim told police that the two good-for-nothings approached him while he was waiting for a taxi inside the vestibule of the building by 65th Street at 2:30 pm. The pair of thieves offered the victim a new face mask saying his was no good, and one began patting the victim down down and handing over his wallet containing $105, his phone, his chain, and his Nike shoes to his accomplice, authorities said. 

Violent robbery

Cops cuffed a man for allegedly punching and kicking two housemates while attempting to steal from their 66th Street apartment on May 21.

The victims said that they caught the suspect rummaging through the room of their apartment by New Utica Avenue at 4:20 pm. When roommates approached the defendant, he allegedly punched one man in the chest and kicked the other in the shin before running off with $200. The defendant has an active parole warrant and active bench warrants, authorities said. 

Car crook

A thief stole a car from Cropsey Avenue on May 20.

The victim told police that he left his company’s 2007 Blue Chrysler unlocked with the key in the ignition by Bay 38th Street while he was making a delivery at 5:45 pm. When he returned, the car was gone, authorities said. 

Wholesale heist

Cops cuffed two employees of a Shore Parkway electronic store for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 from the store on May 19.

Officials at BJ’s Wholesale Club near Bay 38th Street told police at 7 am that the two employees had been working together to smuggle $3,344 worth of electronics from the store, authorities said.
