Tide pod challenge
A shoplifter brandished a knife when stealing Tide pods from a Cropsey Avenue store on Jan. 23.
Police said an employee tried to stop the thief at the door of the store at the intersection of Bay 53rd Street but they pulled a knife out around 9 pm and fled.
Bad Apple
A highwayman stole an iPhone and Apple watch by forcibly removing them from someone on Brighton 3rd Street on Jan. 19.
The victim told police the brute pushed him against a car’s hood between Ocean View and Brighton Beach avenues around 5;26 pm before fleeing towards Ocean Parkway.
