Home invader loots $32,000 in cash

Slumber Swipe 

A bandit snagged $32,000 from the nightstand of a W. 24th Street home while the owner was sleeping on Aug. 25. 

The victim told police that the only other person at the residence between Surf and Mermaid avenues was her home health aid when she took a nap around 11 am, and awoke to find her nightstand missing the money.

Over the counter 

A thief swiped two iPhones from a Brighton Beach Avenue store on Aug. 24. 

An employee told police that the shoplifter reached over the counter at the store between Coney Island Avenue and Brighton Seventh Street for the phones at around 12:40 pm before snagging the electronics and running off. 

Protector of Galaxies

A mugger looted a man’s Samsung Galaxy and $100 cash on Brighton Beach Avenue on Aug. 24. 

The victim told police that the pirate first demanded the cash at the intersection of Ocean Parkway, and attacked him when he refuse, before snagging his belongings at around 3 am and fleeing on foot.
