Bye, bye belongings

Someone broke into a car in Bensonhurst and stole items on Jan. 21. 

Police said the victim allegedly left his vehicle near 82 Street and 15th Avenue when a thief broke in a window to steal a book bag, gym bag, and wallet at 10 p.m.

The unknown thief used the debit card to spend roughly $300 on Long Island. 

Brawlin’

A man attacked someone at a bar on McDonald Avenue between Kings Highway and Avenue S on Jan. 21. 

According to police, the attacker grabbed a bottle and hit the victim in the face at 12:30 a.m., causing a cut to his face.

Misguided thief

Someone robbed a man near the corner of West 6th Street and 65th Street in Bensonhurst on Jan. 18.

The 84-year-old victim told police at 2:30 p.m., the thief stopped him to ask for directions to the hospital before removing his chain and replacing it with a fake one.

The robber ran away in a black sedan.

Break in

A group of thieves broke into a Bensonhurst apartment on W. 6th Street on Jan 21. 

According to police, the group broke in, stole $4,000, jewelry and designer bags and ran out of the front building at 3:23 p.m. 

The stolen items were worth roughly $31,300.
