Some scammer stole a car near 23rd Avenue in Bath Beach on Aug. 28.

According to police, the victim was trying to sell his gray 2015 Honda Accord to the perp, and they met up to talk about the vehicle. The pair were test driving the vehicle together at around 12 p.m. when the thief asked the victim to show him the trunk. When he got got out of the car, the perp drove off going east on 85th Street.

Lock breakers

A group of jerks stole a motorcycle on Dahill Road on Sept. 1. 

Police said the victim parked his motorcycle on his driveway on Aug. 31 around 8:30 p.m. and woke up to the sound of a lock breaking around 3:57 a.m. He looked outside to see three people gathered around the bike.

The three baddies zoomed off heading north on Dahill Road.

Not so friendly

A brute assaulted a teenager off of Bath Avenue on Sept. 2.

The victim told police he and the attacker were both intoxicated and started fighting for an unknown reason around 10:30 p.m. As they grappled, the assailant used a small knife to cut the 19-year-old victim on the hand, neck, chest and face. 

Chain snatchers

A pair of thieves stole jewelry from a 76-year-old man near the corner of Benson Avenue and Bay 41st Street on Aug. 29.

Police said the pair stopped the victim to ask him for directions — then grabbed his chain and disappeared. 

Workout wretch

A locker thief stole items from a 16-year-old near Shore Parkway on Sept. 2. 

The victim told police he went to work out at a Bath Beach gym and put his wallet in a locker without a lock at 3 p.m. At some point while he was pumping iron, an unknown robber took all of the items from the locker. 

The thief left the location in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
