Pilferer steals stacks of newspaper from Court Street deli

A pilferer swiped 30 newspapers from a Court Street deli on March 9.

An employee told police that the bandit snagged $80 worth of New York Times and Daily News copies from the unlocked delivery door at the store between Dean and Bergen street at 5:30 am.

Meathead

A thief stole $60 worth of meat from a Court Street grocery store on March 9. 

An employee told police that the burglar stuffed four packs of meat into a duffle bag before leaving the store on the corner of Atlantic Avenue at 10:10 pm. 

Bike bandit

A looter nabbed a $950 bike from a Verona Street house sometime between March 1 and March 5.

The victim told police that the pirate took the bike from his unlocked vestibule between Dwight and Richards street.

That’s nuts

Police arrested a man for a host of alleged crimes, including stealing pistachios from an Atlantic Avenue supermarket on March 6.

Patrolling officers stopped the suspect as he was allegedly riding his bike the wrong way on the Court Street sidewalk at 10:10 pm, and realized after an investigation that he had an open arrest warrant. 

When cops searched the man, they allegedly found a crack pipe and four stolen bags of pistachios — and cuffed him on a host of charges.
