Jewel thief rips off Fulton Street store

Jewel heist 

A jewel thief made off with six figures worth of bling from an Albee Square jeweler on September 7, cops say. 

A store employee told cops the criminal burst into the store near Bond Street at around 5:00 pm demanding cash and jewelry, before firing one shot into a wall. The thief made off with $100,875 worth of cash and merchandise and fled in a dark vehicle, according to the police report. 

Bike lane jerk 

An aggressive driver tried to assault a cyclist on Smith Street on September 7, police say. 

The victim told cops he got into an argument with the driver at around 11:30 am near Bergen Street after he parked his car in the bike lane. The cad then followed the cyclist with his car and tried to hit him. 

Scarred

Cops arrested a man who assaulted a jewelry store employee on Fulton Street on September 6. 

The victim told cops the assailant entered the store near Bond Street at around noon and hit him in the face with a glass bottle, causing cuts to his face. 

Cops caught up with the suspect and charged him with felony assault and robbery. 

Bike thief 

A pirate nabbed a delivery workers bike in Metrotech on September 6, police say. 

The victim told cops he left his bike unlocked and unattended near Lawrence Street at around 6:00 pm, when the thief jumped on it and biked away.
