Citizen Caned

Some jerk left a woman with facial injuries after walloping her with a cane during a random attack in Downtown on Sept. 18.

The 37-year-old victim reported that she was walking down Schermerhorn Street that afternoon when a man walking in the opposite direction struck her in the face with a small cane.

Cops say they are checking local surveillance cameras to identify the perp who fled the scene immediately after the attack. The woman was treated for her injuries at Cobble Hill hospital.

Late-knife robbery

An elderly man was held at knifepoint by three thieves at his Boerum Hill apartment on Sept. 24.

The 66-year-old victim said the three culprits, two men and one woman, entered his apartment on Nevins Street and threatened him with a large knife, taking his iPhone 13 and wallet containing $840.

According to cops, the alleged perps hung around and demanded the victim hand over $1,500 for the return of his belongings to which he refused. After sustaining a cut to his right hand, the victim managed to call the cops who arrived on the scene while two of the perps were still present.

Officers from the 84th Precinct arrested the two of the thieves at scene, and picked up the third culprit nearby.

Eye-witness blues

Some delinquent stole a man’s designer backpack off his bicycle as he watched a brawl in Downtown on Sept. 20.

The 57-year-old victim told cops he was riding his bicycle down Fulton Street at around 4:30 p.m. when he stopped to watch a fight that had broken out amongst a group of teens.

After the fight ended, the man said he turned back around to find his Louis Vuitton bookbag, containing his checkbook, had been snatched from the front basket of the bike.

Cops are still searching for the culprit behind the robbery.
