Hair-assment

A 70-year-old was hospitalized after another man allegedly punched him in the head multiple times at a Downtown barbershop on April 12.

According to the victim, he was at Raska Spa and Barber Shop on Fulton Street at around 1:30 p.m. when a 30-year-old man assaulted him. The cause of the assault was not made immediately clear at the time of the report.

Cops arrested the alleged puncher nearby at the intersection of Elm Place and Fulton Street while EMS transported the victim to Methodist Hospital.

Not-so happy hour

A 31-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly injured a man with a glass cup at a Downtown cocktail bar on April 12.

The 59-year-old victim told cops he was at Somethin’ Else in City Point when a woman threw a glass cup at him, causing lacerations to his arms and face.

EMS treated the man at the scene and later transported him to Methodist Hospital for further evaluation. Cops arrested the 31-year-old woman in connection with the assault at 11 p.m.

Shooting suspects at large

Cops are looking for five men who fired 22 shots at an 18-year-old as he walked to the store in Vinegar Hill on April 11.

The 18-year-old man reported to police that he was on Bridge Street that evening when he noticed five men, not known to him, across the street. Three of the men then pulled out firearms and fired 22 shots in his direction.

The teen was unharmed during the incident but two residents at an apartment building on York Street later reported that their windows had been damaged during the shooting.

Officers from the 84th Precinct patrolled the area that evening and the following morning but have yet to identify the men involved.

Random punch attack

A 65-year-old woman was randomly punched in the head by a man at Brooklyn Bridge Park the night of April 10.

The woman stated that she was on the walkway east of the boathouse structure at around 10 p.m. when an unknown man came up to her and said “I should punch you.” The man proceeded to punch the woman in the left ear, causing pain to the side of her head.

Cops said they are checking nearby cameras to identify the man who fled the scene following the assault.
