Christmas theft

A good-for-nothing stole a Christmas gift from a car parked on Strong Place the night of Dec. 22.

The female victim left her car parked and unlocked at 11 pm between Kane and Degraw street, and when she returned at 9 am the next morning she found the driver-side door open and a $100 bottle of Jay-Z Gold cologne that was a gift missing, according to police.

Coat heist

A no-goodnik stole three coats from a clothing store on Atlantic Avenue on Dec. 21.

The thief walked out of the store between Clinton and Court streets without paying for a Champion hoodie and two North Face coats. The coats are worth a total of $272, according to police.

Missing jewelry

A woman reported more than $5,000 worth of jewelry missing on Douglas Street Dec. 12.

The woman says the jewelry went missing from her home between Court and Smith streets sometime after Sept. 12, and that she waited to tell the police because she was trying to get information from a company that had done work on her house. She says a pearl ring, a pearl necklace, a pair of earrings, and two necklaces worth $5,200 were stolen, according to police.

Beat down

A woman hit and bit another woman on Baltic Street on Dec. 21.

The woman was walking between Hoyt and Bond streets when an unknown woman struck her in the left eye and bite her pinkie until it bled. The 32-year-old victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment of the bite wound, and pain and swelling in her eye, according to police.
