BROOKLYN MUSEUM: New exhibit "Leon
Golub: Paintings 1950-2000" on display through Aug. 19.
Also, major reinstallation of some 250 works from the museum’s
holdings of African art. Ongoing exhibit "A Family Album:
Brooklyn Collects" celebrates variety and character of people
connected to Brooklyn through objects they collect. Through July
1. Suggested contribution is $4 adults; $2 students with valid
ID; $1.50 senior citizens; free to children under 12 accompanied

History and Art of the Movable Book" moves around Brooklyn

Small World," works of 10 contemporary artists. Through

LIBRARY EXHIBIT: Brooklyn Public Library,
Central Library, presents three works by artist Sol Sax. Works
blend atist’s African heritage with pop culture and Brooklyn

Foundation Center presents a variety of works by Roberta Arberman.

MULTIMEDIA EXHIBIT: Brooklyn journalist
Joseph Keith and photographer Eve Morgenstern present a documentary
exhibition "Community at the Storefront: Merchants of Flatbush."
Organized by the Prospect Park Alliance. Through July 1. Inside

MASTER PIECES: Rarely exhibited artworks
by performance masters on display at the Waterfront Museum. Works
are by French high wire artist Philippe Petit, juggler Michael
Moschen, and French movement teacher Jacques Lecoq. Selections
of these works include intricate, pencil renderings of rigging
and rope knots by Petit, kinetic multi-media sculptures by Moschen,
and prints of sketches from the collection of the late Lecoq.
Works are being shown for the first time in the United States
aboard the Lehigh Valley Barge #79 in Red Hook, June 3 – 30.

A reception will be held aboard the barge on Monday June 4 from
6:30 to 9 pm. Petit and Moschen will be in attendance.

The exhibit can also be viewed before and after Circus Sundays
performances on June 3, 10, 17 and 24. For information on exhibit
