That’s one way to bounce back.
A week after dropping its first game of the season, the Lincoln football team notched a 42–20 victory over Midwood on Oct. 1.
The Railsplitters (3–1) dominated on the ground with seven different players recording at least one carry and averaging more than eight yards a play. Naim Coakley, however, led the charge, rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns.
Anthony Khan also added a rushing score, while Terrell Wallace hauled in a receiving touchdown from Faruq Shittu.
Lincoln got the ball rolling early, jumping out to a 26–6 lead at halftime. The defense stood tall in the third quarter as well, shutting out the Hornets early in the second half.
Midwood (2–2) attempted to stage a late-game comeback, however, out-scoring Lincoln 14–8 in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late.
Lincoln returns to the field on Oct. 7, squaring off against Tottenville on the road. Midwood takes on Boys and Girls High School the same day.
Erasmus Hall 40
Brooklyn Tech 6
The Dutchmen continued to roll, maintaining their still-perfect season with another strong victory.
Erasmus jumped out to a 28–6 lead at halftime, and the squad shut out Brooklyn Tech in the final 24 minutes of play.
Tech’s lone offensive bright spot came on the arm of Edwin Stimpson, who completed 50 percent of his passes and threw for one touchdown in the loss.

The Vikings avoided another week of on-field drama with a lopsided victory on Sept. 30. Jason Martin once again led the charge, throwing for 115 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 90 yards and another pair of scores.
Martin’s favorite target in the win was Sidney Jackson, who racked up 85 receiving yards, made two touchdowns, and returned a kickoff 90 yards into the end zone for good measure.
Giovanni Denard paced the South Shore defense with nine tackles and a fumble recovery.

Fort Hamilton 30
The Tigers came up just short of a victory, despite a strong performance on the offensive side of the ball. Seba Nekhet went 6-for-9 through the air for 103 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 106 rushing yards and one score on the ground.
Troy Booker chipped in 187 rushing yards and two touchdowns of his own, showcasing his efficiency on just 15 carries.

Matthew Agread found the end zone twice and racked up 135 total yards of offense in the blowoout.
Aaron Adams and Dominick Mclune both notched rushing touchdowns. Titus Leo was the defensive star of the night, returning an interception for a touchdown and racking up eight tackles.

Canarsie 0
The Wolves’ defense continued to dominate in the squad’s latest victory, holding Canarsie to just 91 total yards on Oct. 2.
Olakunle Fatukasi was a defensive whirlwind, racking up 10 tackles — including four for a loss — as well as two sacks and one interception.
Christophe Mattocks led Grand Street’s offense with 133 passing yards and one touchdown. The quarterback also rushed for a score.

The Clippers cruised to a victory on Sept. 30, setting the tone on the ground from the very first whistle. Roberto Auguste and Julius Arcaro combined for 254 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.

The Blue Devils offense was out in full force, as four different players found the end zone.
Nimar Roach connected with Jordan Woodard for a pair of scores through the air, while Avery Wilson, Rene Duffault, and Do Morri West each scored on the ground.
