Delivery gone wrong

Two crooks jumped a food delivery man and robbed him at E. 28th Street on Aug. 2.

The victim told cops he was delivering Chinese food to an address between Voorhies Avenue and Shore Parkway at 1:40 pm. When he arrived and called the person that ordered the food, he was told to go to another address on the same block, where he was approached by two baddies, one of them masked,police reported.

The victim made a run for it, throwing the food and $50 on the ground, police said. The two rogues chased him, then picked up the cash and fled towards Voorhies Avenue, according to the authorities.

Trickster thief

Police arrested a man who allegedly stole a woman’s phone and ripped her necklace from her neck on E. 13th Street on Aug. 2.

The woman told police she was near Avenue U at 6 pm when the man asked for the time. When she pulled out her phone, he allegedly grabbed her wrists, snatched her pink Blu cellphone, and tore her white metal necklace with a cross from her neck, leaving her with scratches on her hands, according to cops.

The man was arrested at E. 14th Street and Avenue T at 6:30 pm, and the stolen property retrieved from his pants pocket, cops said.
