Bay Ridge’s 5th Avenue was bustling with celebrations on Sunday, June 5, at the annual Fun on Fifth street fair. Live music by 11 different bands, jugglers, dancers, a bouncy house, food vendors including Little Kick and Sam’s Fried Ice Cream flooded the street — along with hundreds of community members.
The event was organized by the non-profit Bay Ridge 5th Ave. Business Improvement District, which partners with local property owners, merchants, residents, elected officials, and community organizations to support local businesses, promote economic and cultural vitality and bring neighbors together.

The beloved festival has been on hiatus due to the pandemic for the last two years – so Sunday’s celebration was even more lively than usual as Bay Ridgers rocked out to live tunes from The Brooklyn Bards, Sha Doobie, Chix Appeal, and more.
Police officers and other members of the community mingled and connected as they enjoyed the fair .Photo by Arthur de Gaeta.Cheers to the start of season full of parties and opportunities for the community to come together.
