The Fire Department is investigating a fire that damaged a pizza shop in Midwood on Jan. 17.
The blaze began on the second floor of an E. 29th Street and Avenue M building above the Spicy Nonna pizzeria at 3:55 am, according to authorities. The flames then spread to the ceiling of the first floor, destroying a pizza shop. The Fire Department said the fire was under control by 5:08 am, but the cause is still under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
