Boerum Hill residents are rife with concern about an alleged crack house in a vacant brownstone building at 416 Pacific Street between Bond and Nevins streets.
The matter was brought up by several residents at the recent Boerum Hill Association meeting.
Some at the meeting also alleged hearing thebuilding was also occupied by squatters.
These residents also stated that a local neighbor had even found crack vials and other evidence of drug use.
Upon hearing the news, organization member Leslie Lewis, who also happens to be president of the 84th Precinct Community Council and serves as the criminal justice liaison for Borough President Marty Markowitz, said he would take the matter up personally with local police.
Since then, police sources said the building has been under constantsurveillance, and thus far have been unable to turn up anything.
This includes no broken locks or windows, or evidence of drug paraphernalia, police sources said.
The site will continue to be monitored, police sources said.
“There have been e-mails about it as well and I assure you police are investigating it,” Lewis said.
A visual inspection of the site by this newspaper found no drug paraphernalia and the building securely locked and well-maintained.
According to city records, the building is owned by Brooklyn Realty Holdings Corp. with an address in Kew Gardens, Queens.
Attempts to reach the owners were unsuccessful at press time.
