Get your game on (from home!): Brooklyn Public Library is hosting a virtual Mario Kart session for Brooklynites of all ages and skill levels. Sign on via your Nintendo Switch by searching “BPL Tourney” or using the code 0334-4298-1419 and get racing.

Schedule some laughs: A weekly free standup comedy show, Wet Cash features some of the city’s best up-and-comers, and some of the faces you know from late night TV and Netflix comedy specials. Everyone can enjoy a free beer and one chosen guest receives, what else, some wet money at the end of the show. All proceeds are donated to charity.

Free, with $10 suggested donation. 7:30 pm at Stars Café, 247 Wilson Ave. between Harman and Himrod streets in Bushwick.

‘Land of the Sweets’: A new take on the classic Nutcracker ballet, Movement Headquarters presents “Land of the Sweets: An Immersive Nutcracker Experience,” featuring a grown-up Clara navigating a journey to the Land of the Sweets.

Foodie paradise: Experience some of Williamsburg’s best food on this guided tour. You’ll stop for tastings of pastries and pierogi at Northside Bakery, Oklahoma-style barbeque at Mables Smokehouse, and delicious chocolates from Dominican chocolatiers Kahkow Chocolate factory, and more!

Sunday, Dec. 19

K-Pop Market: Join Euphoria Dance and @bangtanbklyn as they host a BTS-themed holiday market celebrating Gen Z’s favorite k-pop sensation. Shop, eat, and drink during the day, then stick around after hours for a 21+ party.

Market runs 11am-6 pm, party starts at 7 pm. $6 for the market, $10 for the party. Mika Bushwick, 25 Thames St. between Morgan Avenue and Bogart Street, Bushwick.

Lightscape: Check out Lightscape at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a new exhibit celebrating the beauty of winter through light installations and dazzling displays after dark throughout the horticultural museum in Crown Heights. More than 18 works of art light will be on display, including the Winter Cathedral tunnel and an animated installation covering the Cherry Esplanade. 

Running Nov. 19 through Jan. 2022 at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 990 Washington Ave. near Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, $34 admission for adults.
