Soccer brawl

A lowlife kicked a boy in the face during a soccer game in Red Hook Park on Jan. 20.

Police said the fight broke out at 4 pm when the 15-year-old boy flipped the 21-year-old man over during the match. The man then kicked the boy in the face with his cleats, breaking his nose and injuring his eye socket, officers reported.

Police arrested the man and charged him with assault.

Coat rack theft

A punk walked out with a whole coat rack from a store on Henry Street on Jan. 21.

An employee at the store between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street said the thief took a Woolrich Men’s Down Parka when he took the coat rack between 3 and 4 pm.

Package rip and rob

A good-for-nothing opened a man’s package left outside his on Clinton Street home on Jan. 13 and stole a phone.

The victim said the package was delivered to his home near Third Place at noon, but when he returned at 6 pm, he noticed the bundle on his stoop ripped open and his iPhone 5 gone.

Car break-in

A nogoodnik stole a navigation system and more from a car parked on President Street between Jan. 21 and 22.

The 34-year-old man said he parked his 2013 Honda Pilot between Henry and Clinton streets at 9 pm, but when he returned at noon the next day, he noticed the doors were open. Someone stole the global positioning system and a wireless headset from the car.
