The Eighth Annual Gateway to
Nations NYC Native American Heritage Celebration takes place
June 15-17 at Fort Hamilton Army Base in Bay Ridge. More than
1,000 Native-American artists, performers and educators from
both North America and South America will return to Fort Hamilton
for this event. (A scenes from last year’s Celebration is shown
at left .)



In addition to an array of Native-American folk art (paintings,
sculpture, pottery, jewelry and leatherwork) for sale, there
will be a menu of Native-American cuisine to choose from – buffalo
burgers, wild rice, venison stew, corn soup and frying bread.



Admission is $7, $4 children and seniors. On Friday, hours are
10 am to 3 pm; on Saturday, 11 am to 9 pm; and Sunday, 11 am
to 8 pm. Performance times are Saturday and Sunday, 1 pm and
