Violent invasion

A home invader robbed an E. First Street home and assaulted the homeowner on May 22.

The baddie entered the home near Avenue U through an unlocked side door shortly after 1:30 p.m., cops said. The intruder then punched the homeowner and stole cash and several items of jewelry before making off toward West Street, according to police.

Pistol pirates

Two crooks robbed a man at gunpoint in an Avenue S playground on May 22.

The duo entered the park, between E. 14th and E. 17th streets, at approximately 4 p.m., brandishing a gray handgun, police reported. One of the villains then robbed the victim of his cellphone, wallet, and headphones, before the two escaped toward E. 13th Street, cops said.

Failed robbery

A marauder attempted to rob a woman on E. 18th Street on May 21.

Police say the miscreant approached the victim between Avenue R and Quentin Road shortly after 10:30 p.m. and tried to grab her backpack. The victim refused to hand over the bag and began to scream, causing the weasel to run off toward Kings Highway, cops said.
