Jewel heist
A burglar broke into an E. Fourth Street home on May 12 and stole an estimated $85,000 worth of jewels.
The perp broke into a bedroom window in the house between Angela Drive and Avenue W sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., before fleeing with several pieces of expensive diamond and gold jewelry, cops said.
Avenue X marauders
Three miscreants assaulted and robbed a man on Avenue X on May 7.
The victim was near Coyle Street shortly after 9 p.m. when the three baddies got out of a parked car and approached him. One of the perps grabbed the victim, while another punched him in the face.
The third baddie reached into the victim’s pocket and stole a wallet and a cellphone, before all three perps took off, cops said.
Invasion
A home invader burglarized an E. 13th Street home on May 11.
Police say the victim left the house between Kings Highway and Avenue R at 1 p.m., and returned at 9:30 p.m., o find $2,250 worth of jewelry missing. Officers said the burglar entered through an unlocked back window.
