Police are investigating the sudden death of a 2-month-old boy, who passed at an Irving Avenue apartment in Bushwick on July 14.

The parents slept with infant Jason Ruiz in their bed at their home near Grove Street, only to wake at around 5:50 a.m. to discover he was unconscious and unresponsive, but without any signs of injuries, according to law enforcement sources.

Paramedics rushed the young boy to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Office of the City’s Chief Medical Examiner did not immediately return a request for comment regarding its investigation into Ruiz’s cause of death.

A spokesman for the Police Department told this paper that the investigation remains ongoing.
