Ragtop robbery
A thief cut open the convertible roof of a Chrysler Sebring that was parked on Prospect Avenue between 10th and 11th avenues on Aug. 16.
The owner of the car told cops that he left the nifty wheels at around midnight and returned at 11:30 in the morning to find the cloth roof slashed open and his navigation system and iPod gone.
Hallway heist
A slippery sneak snatched a pair of bicycles from a 16th Street apartment building on Aug. 17.
The cruiser bikes, one green, the other silver, were unlocked in the hallway of the building, which is between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West, when the owner left at 8 am. When she returned at 5:30, both bikes had been boosted.
