Our boys came from behind to clinch game one in a doubleheader, after a rain delay paused Saturday’s game with the Spinners in the lead.
The game resumed in the top of the fourth with the New Englanders in front 2–1.
Brooklyn tied it up in the fifth, when Nick Meyer singled to knock in Anthony Dirocie, who had walked and stolen second.
The Clones took the lead in the next inning, when Ross Adolph popped a sacrifice fly to drive in Jose Brizuela before Jose Miguel Medina was tagged out at first to end the inning.
Yeudy Colon and Ryley Gilliam were able to keep Lowell at two and carry the Cyclones to a narrow victory.

July 22 at MCU Park (Game two)
Jaison Vilera continued his dominance over New York-Penn League batters in the second game, striking out five and allowing five hits and three walks over five innings.
The righty from Venezuela currently holds the second best earned-run average in the league, at a slim 0.92.
Tommy Wilson took over for Vilera in the sixth and kept Lowell scoreless in the shortened game, which ended after seven innings.
Brooklyn took a one-run lead in the third when Walter Rasquin’s groundout plated Jose Miquel Medina, who had singled and moved to third on a base hit.
The Clones added another run in the fourth, and scored two more the next inning. Rasquin singled to knock in Brian Sharp, who had walked and reached third on an error in the fifth. And after Chase Chambers moved Rasquin to third with a base hit, Wagner Lagrange sent him home with a sacrifice fly.
Brooklyn’s Boys of Summer have a rare night off tonight before they embark on a week-long road trip to Ohio and West Virginia. They’ll return to Brooklyn July 30.
