Cops hunt subway fiend in Williamsburg robbery

Police are hunting the scoundrel who beat and robbed a straphanger at the Marcy Avenue subway station in Williamsburg on Sept. 29.

The 26-year-old victim told police he was riding a Manhattan-bound J train at 8:11 pm, when the thief snatched an iPhone 11 from his hand and hightailed it out of the station.

The victim gave chase, but the bandit punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground, before snatching his wallet, according to police.

Cops obtained surveillance footage from the station which shows the criminal wearing a blue hoodie.

Anyone who provides police with information leading to an arrest can expect up to a $2,500 reward through the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers program.
