Police are searching for a man who they say drunkenly dove into the East River from the Williamsburg shore this morning.

The 21-year-old was hanging out with friends under the Williamsburg Bridge at 5 am, when he decided to go for a dip, cops said. The fellow hopped in and paddled out for a minute before friends lost sight of him, according to the authorities.

Police sent out boats and helicopters to search for the man, and had not located him as of 1:30 pm.
