Authorities are looking for a hit-and-run driver who fatally plowed down a pedestrian in Park Slope early Sunday morning.

The 41 year-old victim was crossing Fifth Avenue at Ninth Street at approximately 4:56 am on Sunday morning when a Greenwood Heights-bound driver mowed into him, then motored down Fifth Avenue without stopping, according to police. They still don’t know which party had the green light, according to a spokesman.

Authorities found the victim badly injured on the scene, and paramedics took him to New York Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Cops describe the suspect’s vehicle as a tan or gold Nissan Altima sedan with a damaged passenger side bumper, missing passenger side mirror, and inoperable passenger side headlight.

Police ask anyone with information about the guy to call (800) 577–8477, or submit tips by logging on to www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 followed by TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
