Ride stealing
A baddie stole a ride-share driver’s car at gunpoint on Court Street on March 2.
The victim picked up the lout at Remsen Street and Linden Boulevard, and when they got to Atlantic Avenue at 3:40 am, the malcontent told him, “Pull over or I’ll shoot you in the back of the head,” according to cops.
The victim ran out of his car and the crook got in the front seat and sped off on Atlantic Avenue toward the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, according to police.
Clothes swipe
Cops arrested a man for allegedly stealing clothes from a Fulton Street department store and threatening an employee with a razor blade on Feb. 26.
The man allegedly stuffed 48 items into his bag and tried to leave the store near Gallatin Place without paying at 6:20 pm, according to police.
When the store’s security tried to stop the man, he allegedly threatened to cut the employee with a razor blade before he fled into the Jay Street MetroTech subway station, cops said.
The employee then pointed the man out to officers, who arrested him, though he resisted by flailing his arms and tensing up, police said.
Bike swiped
Someome stole a woman’s bike on Remsen Street on Feb. 25.
The victim said she left her bike inside a yoga studio between Clinton and Court streets to which several people have access at 6:30 am, and when she returned two hours later it was gone, according to police.
Ride beating
A passenger hit a ride-share driver in the face on Sands Street on Feb. 27.
The victim picked up the man in Manhattan and drove him to his destination near Prospect Street at 2:15 am.
After dropping off the lout, the snake turned around and hit the driver in the head with a blunt tool, causing pain and swelling. cops said.
Phoney transaction
A charlatan scammed a man out of his laptop with fake cash on Montague Street on Feb. 26.
The victim met up with the fraudster to sell him his laptop at their arranged meeting point between Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza W. at 10 pm, which they arranged via the “Let Go” app.
The trickster gave the victim $1760 in fake cash, including $40 of real currency, which the victim noticed when he tried to deposit the money at his bank later on, according to police.
E-thief
Someone swiped a delivery man’s e-bike he parked on Pacific Street on Feb. 28.
The victim told cops left his two-wheeler outside while making a delivery near Court Street at 4:50 pm, and when he returned, it was gone.
A security camera around the corner on Court Street caught the villain speeding off with the bike, according to cops.
Foiled!
Cops cuffed a woman who they say tried to steal clothes from a store at Albee Square West on March 1.
The woman allegedly took a bag, pants, and jackets and tried to leave the store near Fulton Street without paying just after 4:30 pm, but was arrested at the store two hours later, cops said.
Sneak thief
A thief stole a woman’s wallet at a Hoyt Street bar on March 1.
The victim said that the sneak took her wallet and fled the scene between Livingston and Schermerhorn streets at 7:30 pm, and that her credit card was used to buy $260 shoes about eight minutes later at a Fulton Street store around the corner, according to cops.
ATM busters
Thieves stole a money cassette from a Fulton Street bank’s automated teller machine on the night of March 1.
The louts broke the machine and took the cash holder containing almost $17,000 and fled the scene between Bond Street and Hanover Place sometime between 7 pm that night and 7 am the next day, according to the authorities.
Bag snatcher
A woman’s bag was stolen at a Hoyt Street bar on March 3.
The victim told cops that she left the bag unattended at the Bergen Street tavern at 9 pm and that the sneak stole it, which included her wallet, car keys, phone, and identification.
Rogue bank teller
Police say a bank teller stole $5,000 from a man’s bank account on Flatbush Avenue between March 1 and 2.
The victim noticed that someone had taken the money from his account at the branch near Fourth Avenue sometime between 9 am and 6 pm the following day, even though he had all his cards and documents.
The victim was later informed that a teller at the bank had made the transaction, according to cops.
