The Cyclones came back from two-run deficit to tie it late in the game but lost in extra innings to the Spinners.

The Spinners jumped out to an early lead when Yoan Aybar tripled with runners on first and second to score Garrett Benge and Marino Campana to make it 2–0.

Our boys were held to just one hit before they came back in the seventh. After Quinn “Chief” Brodey singled and Reed Gamache walked, Carl Stadjuhar doubled to score Brodey and advance Gamache to third. Scott Manea then walked before Carlos Sanchea grounded out to score Gamache and tie the game.

The Spinners won the match three innings later. Aybar led off the 10th with a single, Rawinson Ayeda hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Aybar to second before Michael Osinski singled scored Aybar with the winning run.

It was the third loss in a row for the Cyclones, who remain dead last in the McNamara division with am impressive 12–25 record. With the loss, the Cyclones picked up half a game on the rained-out Hudson Valley Renegades in the two teams’ “Battle for the Basement,” giving the Clones a four-and-a-half game advantage in that fight.

The Cyclones hope to snap their losing streak tonight at 5:15 pm in Lowell.
