It was a Nico-loss!

Cyclones pitcher Nicholas Debora had a rocky outing on the mound — allowing seven hits and four runs — and our boys were limited to five hits as the Cyclones fell to the Scrappers.

It was bad from the start. Samad Taylor homered to left field to score both him and Austen Wade in the first. Later in the same inning, Clark Scolamiero singled with runners on first and third to score Nolan Jones.

The Scrappers added to the lead in second when Jones singled to score Ernie Clement to make it 4–0.

Brooklyn’s Boys of the Summer struggled to score all night until the sixth inning. Adam Brodey doubled to score Jose Miguel Medina to get them on the board but that would be the Clones’ only run as it went on to lose 4–1.

Debora took the loss, making him 0–1 on the season, and Brodey hit a double and drove in a run.

The loss puts the Cyclones at a putrid 6–15 on the season, which keeps them dead last in the McNamara Division and one and a half games in back of the Hudson Valley Renegades.

The Cyclones hope to even the series tonight at 7 pm.
