Cyclones ace Christian James shut out the Connecticut Tigers for seven innings Thursday to help lead the Clones to victory.

The Cyclones took an early lead when Jose Miguel Medina reached first after a dropped third strike, advanced to second and third on two separate passed balls, then scored on Chase Chambers’s homer to right.

Brooklyn scored again in the second when Medina singled to left with two outs and stole second and third before being batted in on Jose Brizuela’s infield single.

The Clones added one run in the fourth when Oliver “The Programmer” Pascual singled to left to drive in Kendall Coleman, who had singled and reached second on a wild pitch.

Brooklyn’s Boys of Summer continued their dominance in the seventh. Carlos Sanchez reached first on a single and stole second. Dionis Paulino then singled to left to move Sanchez to third. Brizuela knocked in Sanchez with a sacrifice fly that sent Paulino to third. Connecticut later walked Chandler Avant with the bases loaded, driving in Paulino to score the Clones sixth run.
