Brooklyn’s Boys of Summer did not even get on the board.

Cyclones starter Gunner Kines allowed five hits and two runs, and the boys’ bats may as well have been nonexistent as they received their second straight sweep at the hands of the Ironbirds.

Aberdeen got on the board quickly after Ben Breazeale doubled to score T.J. Nichting and then scored on Zach Jarrett’s sacrifice fly, making it 2–0 in the bottom of the first.

The Ironbirds increased their lead in the bottom of the sixth, when Trevor Craport hit a solo home run to make it 3-0, which wound up being the final score.

Kines got the loss which makes him 0–2 this year, and Quinn Brodey earned a single for Brooklyn.

The loss puts the Clones’ at an abominable 2–8, in dead last place of their division, three games behind Aberdeen.

The Boys of Summer will attempt to get back in the win column when they take on the Connecticut Tigers at MCU Park tonight at 7 pm.
