Drug raid: Heist at Boerum Hill pharmacy

A crafty band of burglars busted through the wall of a Smith Street pharmacy overnight on Sept. 20 and made off with a hefty prescription-drug haul, police said.

The drug store’s 63-year-old owners told cops he locked up the business between Bergen and Wyckoff streets at 6:30 pm, and when he returned at 9:30 the following morning, there was a hole in the side of the building facing a construction site where workers recently demolished a building. A sidewalk shed in front of the lot hid the heist from pedestrians ambling along the busy bar and restaurant strip.

Inside, the store owner found Percocet, methadone, and Vicodin pills taken, according to a report. The missing meds are worth $10,200, officers stated.
