Duo attempts to rob man a knifepoint in subway station

Cops are hunting for two crooks who attempted to rob a man at knifepoint at the 53rd Street subway station on Feb. 13.

The victim told police he was waiting for an R train at the station near Fourth Avenue at 10:30 pm when one of the thieves pulled a knife on him, but the victim made a run for it and managed to escape, while the would-be robbers boarded a passing train.

Hate symbols

Police are searching for the vandal who scrawled swastikas inside the 15th Street subway station on Feb. 17.

The delinquent drew the Nazi symbol on a pillar at the station near Prospect Park in orange spray paint sometime after midnight.

Jeepers creepers

A thief looted a man’s 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee he parked on Fifth Avenue on Feb. 16, taking electronics and other valuables.

The victim told police he left his car near 47th Street at 11 pm, and returned the next morning to find his radio, sound system, dash cam, and sunglasses were stolen.

Cops arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly beating another man with a chain on Fifth Avenue on Feb. 16.

The arresting officer claims he spotted the suspect whipping the victim numerous times with the chain near 50th Street at 12:40 pm, and the suspect was arrested on a felony assault charge.
