Earth Day done delicious

The restaurateur who brought you the city’s first solar-powered restaurant outdid himself last weekend with a two-day Earth Day Expo in the courtyard of his Fort Greene eatery.

The event, which drew swarms of neighborhood residents and about a dozen eco-booths, was held at the Habana Outpost restaurant at 757 Fulton Street.

The restaurant has solar panels to generate electricity in its courtyard, and utilizes rainwater to flush its toilets and water plants in the courtyard and dining area.

“At Habana Outpost, we are committed to remaining at the forefront of the green movement, while staying true to our inclusive, fun-loving spirit,” said artist and restaurateur Sean Meenan, who also owns Caf
