Brooklyn detectives are searching for the suspect who stabbed a woman Monday afternoon in East Flatbush.
The incident occurred around 2:28 p.m. near the intersection of East 94th Street and Clarkson Avenue, within the confines of the 67th Precinct, police said.
According to authorities, the suspect approached a 28-year-old woman and stabbed her in the left leg with an unknown object. Paramedics transported her to Brookdale Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene wearing all black and was last seen heading down Clarkson Avenue. Nearby P.S. 219 was not affected by the incident, though one parent picking their child up from school told Brooklyn Paper the commotion was “a tad unnerving.”

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
According to recent NYPD data, crime so far this year is down in five of the seven major categories in the 67th Precinct — including murder, robbery, felony assault, burglary, and grand theft auto. The same data shows an increase in reports of grand larceny and rape in the area.
