Cops cuffed a patient who they say punched a security worker at a Hicks Street hospital on April 29.

The 33-year-old patient was in the emergency room of the medical facility near Atlantic Avenue at 11:35 am when he punched the 45-year-old rent-a-cop in the face, rupturing a capillary in his right eye, cops said.

The allegedly ornery invalid was arrested and charged with assault.

Bad way to start the day

A woman was robbed on Coles Street on May 4, according to cops.

The 41-year-old victim said she was near Hamilton Avenue at around 4:34 am, on her way home from the subway station on Second Place, when a lowlife grabbed her from behind and wrapped his right arm around her neck.

“Don’t scream. I just want your money,” the fiend supposedly said.

The cretin grabbed $200 from the woman’s hand and fled in the opposite direction toward Fourth Place and Hicks Street, police stated.

The perp was about six-feet tall, around 180 pounds, and was wearing a blue coat at the time of the incident, officers reported.

Down in front

A disgruntled moviegoer threatened to punch a man in a Butler Street movie theater on May 3, according to a report.

The unruly cinephile, estimated to be around 21 years old, approached a 22-year-old patron at the theater near Douglass Street around 4 pm and said he would punch him in the face if he did not move from his seat, cops said.

The cops got called but the tough guy was long gone by the time they arrived, the report says.

Door prize

A jerk damaged the door to a woman’s Centre Mall apartment on May 3, law enforcement officials said.

The 34-year-old inside the door was at her home near Columbia Street at 7 pm when a man named Earl kicked the bottom of it like crazy, according to police.

Shopping and lifting

A thief allegedly stole a woman’s phone from a bathroom in a Beard Street store on May 3, according to the authorities.

The 30-year-old victim told police she forgot her cellphone in the bathroom of the home furnishings store around 9:30 pm and, when she went back to look for it, her phone case was there, but her phone was gone.
