The world’s most seductive flower attracted the borough’s most seductive crowd for a dance party on Friday at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Nearly 300 people gazed at elegant cattleyas, lady slippers, and other varieties of the garden’s 6,000 types of orchids inside the greenhouses before downing rum and gin cocktails, nibbling on jalapeno-pineapple popsicles and dancing inside the Palm House at the “Lush: Boogaloo and Latin Soul Dance Party.”

The winter fundraiser will help the garden acquire new species of orchids and maintain its greenhouse, while connecting Brooklynites with flora that might be “off the radar.”

“Our orchid collection was an incredible source of inspiration for Lush, allowing us to introduce more people to our collection while enjoying the bright colors, flavors and sounds their tropical origins evoke,” said Brooklyn Botanic Garden spokeswoman Kate Blumm.
