Home-curious buyers will get an education on March 12 at the Brooklyn Historical Society.

That’s when “What First Time Home Buyers Need to Know: Brooklyn” will feature a panel of experts who will offer heaps of advice: what neighborhoods offer value, the pros and cons of renting and buying, options for financing, and more.

As part of the Brownstoner Home Events series, attendees will get insights on locking in an interest rate, financing a renovation, and what documents a loan officer will need.

Attendees will also learn what kind of renovations can maximize livability — how to allocate budget to spaces that are used the most, for example.

“What First Time Home Buyers Need to Know: Brooklyn” is a panel for prospective home buyers in Brooklyn, focusing on what the average person needs to know before buying in Brooklyn.

Join us at the Brooklyn Historical Society on March 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for beer, wine and light bites — provided by Oaxaca Taqueria. Event sponsors include Avenue Sotheby’s International Realty and Bolster.
