First responders took five people to the hospital on May 10 after a passenger vehicle rammed into a school bus in Mill Basin, according to authorities.
Police arrived at the scene, near the intersection of Avenue U and E. 61st Street, shortly after 9:15 a.m., and cuffed 26-year-old Mill Basin resident Trevor Eady, who swerved his black Nissan into oncoming traffic and smashed into the bus, police said.
Eady was charged with aggravated operation of a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, according to police.
The bus was transporting a group of adults with special needs, cops said.
Paramedics took the five adults, including the bus driver, to Brookdale Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Medical professionals cleared 25 other people on the scene, officials said.
