Highway robbery

Four bandits robbed a taxi on Brown Street on March 18.

The taxi was parked between Avenues X and Y when one of the men approached the driver-side door, brandishing a handgun, and demanded the driver open the doors, police reported. The three other men boarded the vehicle and stole the victim’s cellphone and $1,040 shortly before 10 pm, according to cops.

Cheesy theft

Two punks stole a pizza from a delivery man at a Batchelder Street apartment on March 24.

The delivery man told cops he brought the pie, along with stuffed cheesy bread and a two-liter soda, to the apartment between Avenues V and W shortly after 7 pm. Two men, one carrying a handgun, opened the door, demanded the food, and refused to pay, according to police.

Break-in break down

A home invader attempted, and failed, to sneak into a Bedford Avenue home on March 23.

The perp opened the rear window of the home, between Avenues V and W, around 10:15 pm, but fled before gaining entry, according to police, who have security camera footage of the failed robbery.
