G-train work means no night moves

The G train will be taking nights off this week.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will be performing repairs on the G train, commonly referred to as the Brooklyn Local, between the Bedford–Nostrand and Church Avenue stops, leaving night owls and second-shift workers to the fickle whims of the shuttle-bus gods.

Trains will stop running between the two stations at 10 pm each night and start back up at 5 am from May 12 to May 16.

Closing a portion of the line overnight on weekdays allows the transit authority to fix things quickly, transit reps say.
