Shooter

A lout shot a man on Mermaid Avenue on April 9.

The victim was walking between W. 24th and W. 25th streets shortly before 12:35 p.m. when he heard two loud bangs, before falling to the ground. The 20-year-old victim was shot one time in the lower back, according to cops.

Emergency medical personnel took the victim to Lutheran Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police reported.

Stillwell stabber

A bruiser stabbed a woman on Stillwell Avenue on April 9.

Cops say the 22-year-old victim got into a verbal altercation with the perp between Harway Avenue and Bay 50th Street, before the fight turned physical, shortly before 9 a.m. The perp then stabbed the victim in the right side of her abdomen, according to authorities.

Cellphone assault

Two bandits assaulted a man and stole his cellphone on Brighton Third Street on April 12.

The victim told police he was between Brighton Second Lane and Ocean View Avenue on his way home shortly after 3 p.m. when the two perps approached him and pushed him to the ground, before bunching and kicking him in the face.

The two baddies then grabbed the victim’s cellphone and ran off, according to cops.

Piped

A brute hit a man with a metal pipe on Neptune Avenue on April 12.

The perp hit the 24-year-old victim in the head, causing swelling and bleeding, near Brighton Fourth Street at 1:10 a.m., according to police.

The victim was transported to Coney Island Hospital, said cops.

Home invasion

Two intruders broke into a W. 29th Street home on April 8 and assaulted a man.

The baddies knocked on the door of the home between Mermaid and Surf avenues at approximately 7 p.m., looking for the victim’s brother, police reported.

When the victim answered the door, the two men punched him in the face and entered the home, cops said, adding that the invaders then destroyed a television, computer, and several pieces of furniture, before fleeing.

Tablet thief

A pickpocket stole a tablet computer from a victim’s backpack on Mermaid Avenue on April 8.

Police said the victim was between W. 22nd and W. 23rd streets shortly before 4 p.m. and felt a tugging on the bag. The victim turned around, and caught the perp unzipping the bag and removing the tablet, police said.

The thief then said, “don’t tell anyone or I’ll kill you,” and ran off, according to cops.

Hardware criminals

Two shoplifters stole $2,356 worth of items from a Cropsey Avenue hardware store on April 1.

The two pilferers entered the store near Bay 53rd Street at approximately 7 p.m. before snatching the items and making off, according to cops.

Wallet thief

A thief stole a wallet a man lost at a W. Eighth Street store on April 9.

The victim dropped his wallet while sitting on a bench at the store between Surf Avenue and Sheepshead Bay Road shortly before noon. He later viewed the store security footage, and saw an unknown male picking up the wallet and fleeing the store, according to cops.

Subway swiper

A pickpocket robbed a sleeping subway rider on April 14.

The victim told police he boarded a Coney Island Avenue-bound Q train in Manhattan shortly before 4 a.m. and fell asleep. He woke up at Stillwell Avenue, and found his suit pant pockets cut open, police reported. He was missing his cellphone, wallet, and keys, according to cops.
