Reports of flooding due to heavy rainfall have surfaced in Brooklyn, particularly in the area of Carroll Street and Fourth Avenue.

The New York City Emergency Management Twitter account warned Kings County drivers to use alternate routes due to the flooding.

“Due to flooding conditions, expect extensive #traffic delays in the area of Carroll Street and Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn. Use alternate routes,” read a tweet posted at 4:55 p.m.

Twitter user @BayAreaJulie posted a video taken by friend Adrienne Zhao showing the flooding at the scene. The video shows cars splashing through water that nearly consumed their wheels, while other vehicles were left stranded in the water.

Speaker Corey Johnson tweeted about the flooding at Carroll Street and Fourth Avenue and mentioned other areas in the borough that are also under water.

According to Johnson, there is also flooding at Wallabout Street and Throop Avenue, as well as at Brooklyn Avenue and Park Place.

Subway commuters have had a rough night as well, with numbered train lines once again suffering loss of service in Brooklyn.
