A 67-year-old who was hospitalized after being thrown from his e-scooter has died of his injuries, police confirmed Monday.

On Sunday, Aug. 13, Kensington resident Armando Gonzalez was riding an electric scooter westbound on Beverley Road at Westminster Road in Prospect Park South when he hit a “defect” in the pavement and was thrown off the vehicle, according to a preliminary investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad. Cops did not say what the defect was.
