A man hanged himself from a tree in Prospect Park early on Monday morning, cops said.

Mikulas Ceselka, a 57-year-old man who lived on 12th Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Park Slope, was found with a rope around his neck near the lake at 3:45 am and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Ceselka left a suicide note, according to cops, who would not divulge what it said.

This is not the first grisly discovery in the woods of Brooklyn’s backyard.

A 50-year-old man was found dead in a forested area behind the park’s Litchfield Villa near Prospect Park West in September, 2013.
