A jilted man shot his ex-girlfriend to death, and then shot her new boyfriend in Flatlands on Sunday — before turning the gun on himself in a devastating murder-suicide, according to police.

Darnell Solomon, 30, burst into the victim’s Utica Avenue building near Avenue M and allegedly shot 24-year-old Jened Duncan in the head, and shot boyfriend in the head and chest, according to police.

The shooter — Duncan’s former lover — then hit himself with a fatal gunshot wound, cops said.

First responders rushed both Solomon and Duncan to Kings County Hospital, where doctors pronounced both of them dead, cops said. Duncan’s current boyfriend was taken to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment in stable condition.

While responding to the shooting, an officer with the 63rd Precinct sustained minor injuries after smashing a glass window on a door with his hand in an effort to enter the second floor apartment —  where they found the two victims sprawled out on the floor of the living room, according to police.

Neighbors were in shock by the horrific crime of passion as the victims were wheeled to ambulances.

“She was just in my store buying furniture,” said one man who declined to be identified. “She seemed nice enough. I just can’t understand it.”
