Man shot inside Church Avenue subway station

A gunman shot a person in a Flatbush subway station on Monday afternoon, cops said.

The red-jumpsuit-wearing assailant opened fire in the ground level of the Church Avenue B and Q station at 2 pm, leaving the victim in serious condition, according to cops and the New York Post. A witness said that the injured man seemed all right, considering that he had a hole in his torso.

“He seemed to be okay — I did not see much blood on the ground,” said Ditmas Park resident Andrew Lowden. “He was holding up his shirt to show officers his wound.”

The shooter fled on E. 18th Street and the victim was transported to King County Hospital, cops said.

The Church Avenue stop is the 11th busiest in the borough, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Two other shooting took place recently outside the station at Church Avenue and E. 18th Street, one in early December and the other in late October.
